A solar inverter that is not working, keeps tripping or shows an error code needs accurate diagnosis before anything else. Our technicians troubleshoot remotely first and visit on site when needed, so you only pay for the repair you actually need.
Problems we troubleshoot
- Solar inverter not working or not switching on
- Error codes — isolation, grid, over-temperature, DC over-voltage, relay, GFCI
- Overheating and derating in summer
- Frequent tripping of the inverter or AC breaker
- Display not working or blank screen
- Wiring problems — loose MC4 connectors, reversed polarity, undersized cables
- Low generation and efficiency problems
- Monitoring app showing the inverter offline
How we diagnose a fault
We start with the error log and generation history, then measure string voltages, insulation resistance, AC grid parameters and internal temperatures. This separates installation problems (wiring, earthing, shading, grid) from genuine inverter faults, and avoids replacing parts that are not faulty.
Frequently asked questions
My solar inverter is not working — what should I check first?
Check that the DC isolator and AC breaker are ON, whether the display shows an error code, and whether the grid supply is available. Note the error code and share it with us — it often points straight to the cause. Do not open the inverter yourself; DC voltages from panels are dangerous.
Why does my solar inverter overheat?
Blocked ventilation, direct afternoon sun on the inverter, failed cooling fans or dust-clogged heat sinks are the usual reasons. Overheating makes the inverter derate and reduces generation.
